Very cool.  All we have here in Nova Scotia  are Red Squirrels.  Not worth shooting.  You need a dozen or so to get a mouthfull
A bad day of hunting is still far better than a good day at work.

Looks like he may have done that a few times before shooting that video.

Recurve50LBS

There is a very good instructional on how to skin a tree rat on the Trad Gang video.

Definitely going to start using that method from now on looks short simple and effective

I shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.

Another one ofour own members made a quick video up and posted it here a year or so ago... in response to similar questions.  I don't know if a search on here would bring it up or if it might have been moved but it was here!

He did it over his knee as I recall and it might have been a tiny bit different, but the basic set up was the same...

I'd given up killin them miserable suckers for the mess of skinnin them...now that I'm armed with a new way...they seem to avoid me.

How'd they know?   :banghead:

I had a guy here in MS, show me that same method when I moved here 2 years ago. Quick easy and clean.

this method may work on eastern squirrels, but we have tried this method on our AZ Abert's and it dosen't work. You can put a 200lb man on the tail and all you do is pull all the skin off to the bone. Very thick tough skin on these critters.
