Shaft Slinger (My Brother)
« on: January 13, 2011, 09:47:00 PM »
From Longarrow....I have recieved many PM's and post asking about Harold a.k.a. SHAFT SLINGER.His time to leave this world is near. His family, myself and Darrell (our other borther) are at his side. He is in some pain, but at home with family where he wanted to be. This has been really hard for me as we were so close. I'll post more later. Keep us all in your prayers.

Praying
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Prayers sent...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

To the Couch Family:
My deepest condolences with Harold's passing. He was a friend and foe, mentor and teacher.  One of my fondest recent memories was at Blackhawk's 18th Annual All Trad when all three Couch brothers were there, I had to let them know that the BFA Sheriff was watching (LOL) but could be bribed to look the other way (wink).
Harold you will be missed and I am damn proud to call you my friend. I will miss the time shared by the campfire.  Dave

Mary,

My deepest sympathy and heart-felt prayers for God's peace that passes human understanding to wrap you, the family and friends in His loving Grace to ease this pain.

He is not gone, Harold lives within each of you and may that knowledge keep your hearts and Minds in Jesus.

Keep the Son in your eyes!
