Yesterday not a good day
« on: February 06, 2011, 10:08:00 AM »
Called an old huntin buddy last night that I have shared many huntin camps with over the years only to find out he has stage 4 cancer in his spine. His name is George Kennedy if you would please include him in your prayers.Only good thing is he is a Christian. After talking to him I got all my predator huntin gear out to do some calling before church on Sunday morning.Strung up my Bois d Arc selfbow to make it easier to install my Great Northern quiver when I heard that dreaded sound CRAAACK so now I will be looking for another bow, which I think I will go back to laminated bows.Saturday was not a good day.

You're a good Christian friend Terry. Prayers sent. Woods are full of bodark. Laminated don't break so fast. You'll get into another pdq regardless.

Praying for God's best for your friend and His guidance to a great new bow.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Okie,

Maybe that crack in the bow was just God's way of showing you that earthly things do crack, bend and break. As our earthly bodies must aslo deteriorate and die, as with your dear friend.

I'm losing my father as we speak, so I'm not being cavalier when I say that it might be a "sign" to let go of things of this realm and focus on that which endures.

George and his memories with you afield will long live. Get with him, reminisce and help him remember the joy of your friendship. Let him feel the love you have for him so that he might carry that with him and you tuck it deep in your heart as well!

Cancer is the ugliest of all malise that rob life. It took Mom. But it is a chance to witness to God's love and peace.

Guess your story just plucked a heart string of mine with things as they are here.  Lots of things are falling apart around me, but in the midst of it, is that great reality of "life everlasting!"

Thank you, Jesus!  :)

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Prayers for George

Prays from the Guld of Mexico. While death to a christian means we get to walk with the creater of all we know we still are selfish about letting go of those we love. I fit that picture. I will pray for you and your friend.......Dusty

Said a prayer for peace, and comfort for you and MR. Kennedy,  Proverbs 3:19 "by wisdom the lord laid the earth's foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place!"  Knowing that your dear friend is already saved by the grace of GOD is a blessing in these times, and that one day you and him will be reunited in those heavens that the good lord hath made for us!
