prayer for my dog Norman please.

by 8 yr old Newf Norman is doing poorly. old age, arthritis and liver failure are taking there toll. those of you who know me know my dogs are my life. please say a prayer for Norman, he is such a PROUD dog, it is very hard to watch him fade.
I go by many names but Daddy is my favorite!

So sorry to hear of that, Kenny. It's as bad as what struck us this past summer, when we lost two in 3 months time. I truly feel for you and for Norman. It was such a bad summer watching my Sloopy and Kissie struggling, only to pass in the end. My prayers go out to you and yours.

This is too soon to the loss of your other dog. Praying for Norman and for comfort for you.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Ken,

You learned a lot from your darlin passing recently. I'm sure you will be strong for Norman and they both will romp endlessly cause "all dogs go to heaven."  :)

Hang in there brother. Prayers for Norman's time to be gentle and you to find full measure of His strength and peace.

by chance does anyone know how to get a dog to drink water as Norman compleatly refuses, he has not drank in 3 days. i am making him eat popcicles and ice cubes. he is a big dog, 140 pounds and i know his body will shut down without drinking, he is going to the vets tommorow as now i have found a big lump in his throat which is why i believe he stopped drinking. please keep him in your thoughts.

Try Gatorade. Ken I'm going to pray for God to ease your worry and pain, I had a black lab years ago before we had kids so he was like my kid. I know your pain. Keep the faith Brother trust in the Lord, even when we think it's a bad idea God has a plan for all of us no matter how painful will end in good.

Ken,

I will Keep You, your wife and Norman in my thoughts and hope for the best.  I know he is your best friend.  From meeting him, seeing pictures and hearing stories , i know he has lived a very gratifying life. He has you to thank for that.  After loosing his sister, you all have had  a tough year.

Best wishes with whatever His plan is.  You know you can always call me if you need anything.

sonogram and x-rays show an inlarged heart combined with his hps and arthritis. each day with my baby boy is a blessing. if he was in pain i couldn't bear it, right now i know there is disscomfort but he still has a good quality of life and i can see when he is happy and relaxed. had a chriopractor/healing touch docotor come to the house and it did him a world of good as he know gets up by himself and drinks agin by himself. THANK YOU ALL SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH for the prayers. i would give life and take life to protect and help my dogs.

Norm is hanging in there, we are doing everything we can for him. believe it or not the thing that has helped most is the chiropractor/healing touch lady i met on my route. after 1 session with him he got up by himself and went to his water bowl to drink. at 8 years old i only want quality of life for him and to be comfortable. i pick him up to go in and out of the house. we love him so much i would do anything for him. THANK YOU to all for the prayers and plase keep Norman in your thoughts and pay special attention to your own pets while hey are in good health.

When at the end of your rope, tie a prayer knot and keep holding on.

Read that on a church sign once 30 yrs ago. Sounds like good advice in times like these.

We all know your passion and depth of love for your dogs! I echo Bernie's peace knowing your person was able to give Norman some dignity back and independence.

Prayers for strength for you and your family as you come to terms. What is of the most value is supposed to cause some pain upon impending loss.

Only right and true way.

May things be well with you and with Norman.

again thanks for the prayers. as the country song goes " Norm is in pretty good shape for the shape he is in". he has good days and bad but you can see how much he enjoys the good ones! i don't think its his time yet, every day is a blessing!
