prayers needed
« on: April 08, 2011, 08:09:00 AM »
Last year my granddaughter was placed with us by Social Services and lived with us from July until December. Her parents have drug problems and weren't doing what they were supposed to.

Since December she has been living with her maternal grandmother.

Yesterday her mom and dad got her out of day care and took off, they were supposed to be in court on Monday. The mother apparently took her mom's car, and then wiped out her grandmother's bank account before they took off.

So, if you would please pray for the safety of my granddaughter, and some peace for my wife, I would really appreciate it. My granddaughter is 1 1/2 years old and her name is Natalie.

Thanks, and God Bless

Pete

I will pray for her safe return and that it will be today. Lord please keep the little girl safe and bring her home today. You know where she is and we can only wait for you to bring this family peace. Lord it is in your name that I ask these things knowing you hear our prayers and answer according to your will, Amen.......Dusty

May the good Lord watch over and keep Natalie close to his side and safe during this time. Being in a very similar position I can understand your feelings of helplessness. Keep praying........the Lord will not lead you to anything that he won't carry you through.

Prayers have been answered!

Natalie, my grandaughter, has just been dropped off at her daycare and the her maternal grandmother is on her way to pick her up. We have no information on what is going on with the parents, but PRAISE GOD Natalie is safe.

Thanks to all who lifted Natalie up in prayer!

God Bless

Not sure which side of the parent coin you come by the "grandparent" title, so I don't mean to offend, but stealing the car and emptying the bank account sure sound like it's time for Natalie's parent(s) to be held accountable so this doesn't happen again.

Lord provides free will and someone isn't excercising theirs well.

Praise God for the child's safe return. But a warning shot has been laid across the familie's bow and action may be warranted.

Prayers for peace and discernment and continued protection for a helpless child

Doc, this has been an ongoing saga of poor decisions etc on the part of Natalie's parents. Her father is my stepson, and there is now some question as to if he was actually involved in this. The mother is in custody, and will be held accountable (in theory, who knows what the system will actually do). There is also a Family Court hearing Monday, and I am hopeful that this will illustrate to the court what the situation is as far as the parents view point.

My wife and I have turned this over to the Lord, and we will do whatever his will is in this situation.

I will be sure to post updates, and I thank you all again for your prayers and support.

God Bless

Pete,

Hardest part of living in His will for me is being quiet long enough to hear his still small voice!  I too try to leave things in God's hands, but when we leave him drive our bus, we still have tire pressure to check, oil changes to do and a lot of windows to keep clean.

Meaning there is much we can/should do in this realm AFTER we hear his direction. Continued prayers for discernment and insight!
