Fellow worker
« on: September 12, 2011, 07:24:00 AM »
I would like to ask all my brothers here to pray for one of my co workers. He was called yesterday morning and told that there had been a fire at his sisters house and that two of her children didn't make it out of the house. His own daughter was in the house but did get out. Please help me to lift up this family in this terrible time of loss. God bless you and yours.......Dusty

Done, Dusty,

Lord sure seems to put a lot of these issues in your path..probably because He knows you will jump right on them and try to be of solace to folks in need!

How does one deal with such tragedy?  I knew guys from Nam who had "survivor's guilt" so bad, it ate them up. Imagine what it would be like to survive a fire and not your kids!  :(

Makes me sick to think of their anguish...

Time was, being an old phart, when public service announcements would encourage families to do fire drill events in the home, have designated meeting places, just because this stuff happens. Today, we never hear of such things...

I will pray for these people that they can find Peace through God and rest in this tragic time through His loving care.
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Prayers for God's comfort
