Please pray
« on: October 29, 2011, 02:54:00 AM »
Yesterday my grandson was on his way to school and had a wreck. The doctors said he was a quadriplegic. He is alive and we are thankful for that. He loves to fish and shoot his recurve. I have such a heavy heart over this. Thank you for your prayers....Dave

David,

It is with an equal heavy heart that I read of your grandson. To see young ones snatched from a full life can be overwhelming.

May God infuse him with an indominatable spirit that he turn this into something heroic and show the docs he's down, but not out!

Attitude is critical. If he can fight and it's God's will, he may yet prove them wrong.

If not, prayers for his inner strength, through the Holy Spirit make him like a young chap I knew years ago who drove a motorized wheel chair with his chin and did data entry with a stick in his teeth.

He was a fighter and did well!

Praying for God's mercy to release your grandson from this prognosis and if not, to make him a champion among men in other ways!

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Mr. David, I will pray for your family as this is will be something that you and your family will have to deal with from now on. I had a brother who also had a wreck and was left paralyzed from the middle of his back down. All I can say is that you have to treat him as normal as you can and don't be alarmed by what he says as this plays out. God has a plan and He will carry you and your family thru this. Feel free to e-mail me if you want to talk. God bless you and your family.......Dusty

Thank all of you for your prayers. Your prayers do work and GOD listens. We found out when they went in to repair his broken back that his spinal chord is not severed. What a miracle! The spinal chord is injured and they give us little hope of him walking. I beleive the good report of the LORD. Your prayers mean so much to me and my family. May GOD richly bless you all. God bless and thanks ...David aka cahaba

Oh,DAvid!  :jumper:

That is the bestest news I've had all day!

Thank you for sharing that! I had a nerve damaged in my leg 30 yrs ago and it took a while, but it "woke up"

I can tell you they were tears of joy, but rightful tears when that nerve started to send signals again...it felt like a 220 v. line was hooked to me!

But I welcomed it! May your Grandson come to know God's love and Grace thru healing and this trial...

Lord in your Mercy...we ask for full recovery for this young man according to your Will.

Prayers continue for Trent and for him to surrender totally to God's will and then show God and the docs how hard he wants to live and walk!

Keep the Son in your eyes, Trent!

Thank you all for your prayers. Trent is talking today! He is off the ventilator. It is going to be a long recovery. We are believing GOD is going to heal him and that he will defy what the doctors say and walk again.GOD bless you all....Dave
