Prayers for a good friend of mine
« on: January 10, 2012, 10:30:00 PM »
A good friend of mine had a bad fourwheeler wreck last week. They had been working on a bike and was trying to get it going so they hooked it on to anouther fourwheeler to pull start it. They got it going and was headed back to the house his father in law was in the lead when he turned back and looked my friends bike was standing up on it side. He went back and found Zip face down in the barditch. The bike had fliped landing on him crushing his shoulder breaking four ribs puncturing a lung lacerating his liver and crushing his skull. He had been stable and the swelling in his brain had gone down. Today the swelling increased and they had to remove a portion of his skull to keep from further brain injury. Zip is a one hell of a good guy allways willing to help anyone out. I have been with him and had to ask where we were going and have him respond we were heading to so and so to take them some food cause they didn't have enought to eat. They have had to keep him in a coma this whole time. He has a daughter who is five a son that is two and a wonderful wife. Please pray for him and his family as they all have a long road to recovery.

One just never knows...  :(  :(

Prayers for comfort for the family, more friends like you to step up and help the family and special prayers for God's will be for complete healing for Zip and full restoration!

Thank you all. He is stable. No visitors except his wife and mom for at least a month.

A hospice chaplin, speaking to me of visiting with my Dad when he just lies there adn sleeps, said what I will share with you...in reply to your comment, "there is nothing I can do"...

"Consider the ministry of "presence"...
* Watch the kids, take them for pizza while the mom and family unwind
* Get their wash and do it for them
* Be the ones to now take groceries to their house...

All these simple things you may already be doing in Christian Love, but think it is little because you cannot impact the momentary outcome of Zip's condition...

It is always the small jestures of love that will be remembered the longest and lift up others.

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Zip has been stable for the last 24 hours and if he stays stable for the next 48 hours they are going to start to bring him out of the induced coma.
