Happy Father's Day to you all. I was just doing some studying this afternoon about a Father's duties from the bible and was once again reminded that our duties as Father's don't stop with our children growing up and leaving the nest. We are to continue those duties as long as we have breath in our bodies. For some of you that means starting over with raising your Grandkids, (Thank God for you) while others it is just to guide them along and assist your kids with carrying out the duties as you taught them and as you continue to learn them. We are at war with the world when it comes to keeping our families together and pointed in the right direction. 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because[a] your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Who is at risk from the passage? It is our families and mostly our kids. If we continue to lag around and wait for someone else to step up we will continue to lose the battle for their souls. God did not give the spirit of fear but the spirit of courage and power to tear down the strongholds that we have in our lives as well as those of our families. We as Father's have to take up the call and win back this ground that we have allowed the enemy to take from us.
I pray that you all have a blessed day and remember that as children of the King we have the best Father example to follow. Please stand tall and let the kids know that you are what a Father looks like and acts like. That we will not be broken by the powers of this world nor allow them to suck us into a life style that does not seek after Christ and His ways.
HAPPY FATHERS DAY.
