I could use the help
« on: June 30, 2012, 12:25:00 PM »
I feel a little disappointed in myself for not being able to pull myself together.

I think some of you know that my wife of 29 years left in Aug 2010.

I finally had to do the right thing and let her go so I handled the divorce myself.

The day the divorce became final I felt as a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

I knew I had done the right thing but the problem is since then I have been just lethargic.

I've basically hold up in my house and haven't been doing much of anything.

I'm still visiting my ex-father-in-law every day(he's91) and needs someone to assist him from time to time. I take him to his dr's appointments and to the store when he wants to go.

That seems to take every amount of energy and motivation I have.

I know there are more things I need to get done like my "Robin Hood" hats that folks won in the auction. I just am having so much trouble making myself do the things I need to. I managed to get them cut out either yesterday or the day before but the sewing hasn't gotten done.

I know I'm not eating healthy but that might not be as much of a change as the other stuff.

I've had depression before and take meds for it but never like this.

Blue is my favorite color except when it reflects my spirit.

I hope just getting it out by writing will help.

God's grace,peace,and love, Mudd

PS:I think this is my 1st post in a while and my norm was usually at least one or more posts per day.

Place your trust in the Lord Mudd..Proverbs 3:5-6 Place your troubles with him. You will be ok, it may take a bit but all will be well. We will be praying.

Keep strong.  look through the down time towards a new begining.  The fact that you are putting what little energy you have to helping others is a good thing.  Stay strong.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Mr. Mudd,
I hear your pain and I have felt your pain, and it is no fun. You will get where you need to be through all of this. Like previously said,a day at a time. Keep busy, and stay positve, time heals the hurt.

A good buddy of mine once told me...."Craig,if I get up in the morning and can put my pants on myself,it is going to be a good day!" I take that seriously as life goes on.

I am praying for you Mudd. Take care,
                                    Craig

Mudd, most people who do not have it, do no understand it.  Depression is no easy thing!

we are here for you, I miss your posts and hope you regain your strength.

remember "today is going to be a good day"  make that the first thing you verbally say to yourself when you get up in the morning, then believe it.

I will be praying you get through this. let me know if you need to talk.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Mudd,

Just few suggestions.  First thing every morning take a minute to thank God for the life He has given you, both the good times and the struggles.  I believe we learn more about faith from our struggles.

After a minute of thanks, find a photo album or a cherished item with sentimental value and remember a happier time.  It can be easy to dwell on the pain of recent events and forget to look for happiness.

Your pain isn't going to disappear overnight. Experience your sadness and accept it for what it is.  But don't let it rule you or your life.  Most of us need to be reminded now and then of all the reasons we have to live and to be happy.

I pray you will find more joy than sorrow in the days ahead, that when you hear the birds sing in the morning you will hear the voice of God calling you to celebrate with Him!

Mudd,

Nothing like this is ever easy. But as you said, it needed to be done. Take care of yourself! You are a good man and the world needs more good men. (We are in short supply!!) As said in another post, "this too shall pass". Praying for you.

Peace, Jim Stewart
