Prayers for a Bowyer buddy here...

Trad Prayer Warriors,
 Yesterday a friend of mine sent me a p.m asking for prayers for his wife who's mother recently has been battling cancer ...His wife also just lost her Step grandma on Friday and Step grandpa on Sat who also had a battle with cancer...His wife also has C.N.A. Exam this week and has two funerals saying so long to her Loved ones...I know this fella is the type to sit in a corner to himself but he's a good fella and asked me to pray and that I'm doing often and just want to ask if many of you will join me...His wife has got so much on her and is in a deep valley this week and I'm sure she could use many prayers for comfort and healing right now...While I've got your attention will you please pray for me as well...I haven't been the Christian man I promised God to be  when I accepted Christ as my savior and lately I have been battling a fight with satan's temptation myself and I trip and stumble often and I just need some extra prayer warriors if you all will? I want to walk the straight and narrow path again and not turn back to see what I had plowed and to stay focused on His Son as I promised to do ...Thank you and God Bless you all...

Remember it's not your efforts He wants but it's your surrender to His strength. Our efforts are like filthy rags and say that Jesus's sacrifice didn't provide for our justification as well as our sanctification. Trust Him for your strength and praise Him for His forgiveness and it will give you joy and the Joy of the Lord will be your strength.

Prayers for the peace that passess all understanding to surround and uplift your friend's wife.  One could guess who it might be with your devotion to a particular bowyer, but the Lord knows and that is all that is important.

As for struggles of your own, I heard it once said from the pulpit that when things get toughest, take heart, it just means that Satan is aware that you're growing closer to the Lord so he turns up the heat on us to try to distract us.  Embrace your failings as testament to your dependence on Him and redouble your total dependence on Christ.  Remember "Footsteps in the Sand".

Thanks to all you Trad prayer Warriors and Doc you seem to know my buddy I'm referring to and he's the silent type that just stops in to check a scrape like an old buck would every once in a while but from my few years of p.m.s with this fella we became friends and never met in person yet but I kind of get the feeling he's somewhat a lonewolf and keeps things to himself and that's o.k. cause I'm kind of like that myself but we all know it's best to find a prayer warrior to help us fight the battles satan throws in front of us all daily and Jesus paid our penalty and satan knows his time is limited but he keeps trying to trip us doesn't he ? It also seems like as soon as I am able to stop one sin and plow a straight row and keep that row straight then another row I begin a crooked line and have a lot of hoeing to do so to speak...I have a Big garden to plow and many rows to straighten but I'm so glad my yoke has a partner pulling along side of me...Thank you all once more...
