Prayers for our possible 3rd adoption...
« on: August 17, 2012, 05:36:00 PM »
Not sure if many of ya know but we are into our third adoption and this is our second special needs adoption we are considering...Now we have a possible referral for a little girl who was abandoned at about 2 days old and she is now 10 months old and has a congenitive heart but medical records are looking on the good side but her major special need is she was born with a condition called "Radius Ulna Fusion" in both her hands...She also has no thumbs just 4 fingers to each hand and her little hands are fused at the wrist area at about 90 degrees...I cann't share pics of her as of yet until we know for sure if it's Gods will ...We are leaning very strongly to adopt her but we are very worried of our age which is my wife is now 50 and I will be 49 in Oct. and we are seriously praying for the Lords direction...Our main concern is will we be able to meet her every need and also care for our other two as well cause Ande is our oldest and she's 6 and Kaci was also a special needs and just turned 5...We requested a Special needs cause our hearts are open to give them a forever home and our two girls are really wanting to adopt her and we are just thinking and waiting to hear from a Dr.if her hands can be casted to be straight and will she be depended on just us feeding, bathing, and everthing you could imagine or will it be possible for her to adapt to do things on her own or her own way as she gets older? I just don't know what I'm waiting to hear from the Dr's cause I know where my wife.kids and my heart are seeded...Can anyone give me clarity on what I'm trying to say? I just need lots of prayers for this little girl who is so cute and smiling in every pic we seen of her...Thanks everyone and Doc Noc you know what I'm going through I think....Tell me somethin brother...

Oh, Keith... I have no crystal ball.

All I can observe is what you write, brother and to share here openly...well....here goes.  :banghead:

First, you keep saying you're waiting on HIS input, but in the same breath, you say you made up your mind(sorta).

Need of another human is a frightful powerful draw... we all want and need to be needed.

God wants us perhaps to NEED HIM that way...not one another? Does He not say we shall leave our father, mother, brother and sister and follow HIM?

What Ande and Kaci or you and your wife want is inconsequential.

If this child's needs are so great, that you cannot keep your heads above water with the medical challenges and costs...then what?

On the other hand, if not YOU, then who?

See? I have NO answers.

I echo 4 Dogs prayers for discernment, insight and a quieting of your will to hear His still small voice.

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Doc,
"No Answer" well I thought for shure you would have the answer but I hear God calling me to be like "Jonah" and I sure don't want to be in a belly of a whale for 3 days...   :biglaugh:   Thanks for your prayers and when you get a chance and whoever else would like to see and hear why we are considering to adopt this little girl then please search a fella by the name of "Nick Vujicic" and if his testimony doesn't reach anyone then I don't know what it will take... All I can say is you will be touched beyond measure once you see this man and you will share his story with others if you haven't heard of him yet... God Bless,

:)

Prayers for HIS WILL to drive you and fill you with the Holy Spirit so you KNOW beyond your own will, His goals for you and your family and this particular little child.

Doc,
I was leaning so hard to one side of the fence and a burst of air hit me hard and I fell to that side...We give our decision Thursday...We had a name we as a family picked out about 6 months ago and we would name her "Darci" but even though the orphanage uses the orphanage directors name as well and our adoption agency uses an American name that they think fits her We may use part of that name and it's "Eden"... How about that ? Yep my wife is waiting for my full answer and she already told me hers and of coarse Ande and Kaci has as well..I put myself in her little shoes and think Is there anybody that Loves me and can help me? I thirst and I need a drink... I am hungry but cann't reach to grab a fork and feed myself....That is why I feel I need to answer God and His voice is calling me and my family to go bring her to a Forever Home...We still need to see if they will except us to take care of her due to our age etc. so that may take about 2 weeks  to hear back so please continue to pray God will have the orphanage select us...Thank you again...

Amen!

Even when we follow what God asks us, doesn't mean it will be an easy road. I learned that the hard way all too often!

Prayers that if this is to be His will, that all the rest of the dominoes fall into place.

And, Keith, if for some reason, this does NOT happen due to the administrivia of this world, perhaps, THIS was for you to grow closer to HIM... and less about Darci.

Prayers for HIS will to be done and for the holy spirit to give you all strength and peace that passes all understanding!

You go boy! Keep us posted!

Doc,
I've been down that road a few times and you are correct cause He does want us to draw closer to him and I sent you a link through your p.m. here to read of a true story that happened to us...When you wrote the above thread it reminded me of just that..God was wanting me to draw closer to Him and my Milkcan story explains that ...I think you will enjoy it....Get your snot tissue out Dave...If anyone else wants to read the story of the "Milkcan" please let me know cause I'm not sure I could post it here?   :campfire:

Sir, from what I have experiences in my life I will relate. It seems that every time I have stepped out to do something Christ has led me to I have a crisis of faith that makes me question my heart felt conviction to what the Lord wants me to do. If you feel in your heart that this is what you and your wife have been called to do then you must follow through no matter what your eyes are others are telling you. God will provide everything you will need as you and yours provide for this little girl. Faith is a frail thing without excise.

Hebrews 11:1 Now FAITH is substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The not seeing is the hard part. I am also reminded in Romans 10:17 So than FAITH come by HEARING and hearing from the WORD of God. Claim your gift in the name of Christ and I will agree with you in prayer that this is just what you are wanting. Father I agree with this brother that this will come about. Your plan and will be done with this little girl. You will meet her needs in your perfect plan. Father thank you for people who will reach out to those special needs children that would never know this love. In your name AMEN.......Dusty

Sounds like a bird? I had a slight heart attack for about 1/2 an hour then couldn't sleep so I showered and went to work after I checked my tradgang posts...I called her at 7:00a.m. and asked if she heard that noise anymore and she says" It was you with a weird snore"! Chest still a little sore cause she was a farmgirl and kicks like a mule  :deadhorse:  ...Tonight payback time...
