« on: October 12, 2012, 04:53:00 AM »
Some of you may have read Dannys post in the Pow Wow- but I am sick with hurt- Donald suffered a major heart attack this evening and had a wreck that claimed his life.  he was on the way to airport to come home after being gone for 2 weeks- I don't know how to get through this- I am at a loss- we need prayer- my husband was an amazing man and I am lost-

Amen to 4dogs. Prayers for God's presence to comfort you and family now and in the future.

Kimber,

Stay strong in the Lord. I too do not know how I am functioning right now. I knew something was wrong when I went to bed this morning at 09:30, I had a heaviness I could not shake and when I woke up at 16:00 it was still there. Then when I had a message from his daughter Christy and from our sister I dreaded calling because I just knew it was bad news. My wife is the only thing keeping me upright at this time. It eases some knowing he is with our Lord, but it hurts more than you can imagine.

Keep us all in your prayers as you are in ours. We will be there hopefully by Tuesday.

Kimber and Dan,

You all have impressed me this long time with your devotion to God, and Kimber, you to your beloved husband as well.

God never said it would be easy...this life, or following His Son... but HE did promise that the reward would be worth it!

I will pray for you all to feel that wondrous peace that passes all human understanding...and that you come to know the old ditty about "footsteps in the sand" and rest easy in Christ's arms as He carries y'all thru this tragic time.

You eat an elephant 'One bite at a time' so you can only get thru this one step at a time. There are NO shortcuts...no panaceas. Grief is a process, not an event.

Embrace the anguish to a point, and then get up and go on with your daily chores... God will provide the strength to endure...but it won't be pleasant.

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Kimber,I know how much you and Donald loved each other, and I remember when he was without a job and you bought him the bow he wanted, your husband before everything! So i can feel your desperation, only the time will heal this deep wound.Feel yourself blessed you met such a great person and he will keep living in you and in the people that he loved.
Danny, help Kimber in this terrible moment don't give up to remember your brother in the coming years,he lives in you too.
