Prayers please for Grandpa (updated)
« on: January 07, 2013, 07:35:00 PM »
My Grandfather has turned Yellow in the last 3 or 4 days.  It could be a number of things. Yesterday my dad had a good talk with him and he wasn't in pain and his spirits were good.

Tests come back tomorrow, please pray its not something too serious!
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Sounds like jaundice, but as you say...could be lots of things.

Prayers for His will to be healing for Grandpa!

Prayers for your Grandpa.

Prayers going up for your grandpa and you all in this time of trial. May the Lord bless and keep you all, and may His love and healing be upon your grandpa. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.

Thanks guys, He's in the hospital now,  There was a blockage and they are trying to send a stint in to open it up..  His blood is thin so They are trying to be as little invasive as possible.

Those stints work well when they work...

God's will for your Grandpa...and strength and peace for the rest of you to hold fast to hope and peace that passes understanding.

Thanks guys.

My mother called, says the blockage was formed by cancer.

The Bile was drained today and options will be discussed in the coming days.

Grandpa is home now and for the most part is not in Pain.  Somedays however are not so good.

Doctor says there are 2 options:

1. Fight it.   Using Chemo however that would maybe extend his life but the quality might not be so good. Also take the chance the cure kills him.  He's been through it 2 times before when he was a much younger man and always said he could never handle it again.  This time Dr. says he could be right.

2. Do "nothing".  Get 3-6 months to live with a decent "quality" of living.

surgery is not an option.

Grandpa decided to think about it but the family thinks he is leaning toward option 2.

Please pray for his best.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

What Benson said... and for discernment to be God-Inspired, not tired-inspired.

Prayers too for peace that passes all human understanding regarding his final choice!
