Limb twist ?
« on: January 30, 2007, 06:01:00 PM »
I have been trying to straighten out both limbs on a 66" person Javenlina and I am getting frustrated.  I have used heat and cold water many times before with perfect results but this one is giving me fits.  It is almost like the thing is built this way. Both limbs twist the same way. It will shoot good, I just wonder if there is something else I can try.  I want to get her in line and cleaned up.  Thanks, Bill

Don't know what you can use besides heat, but if you can heat it and get it near straight, try putting a clamp (I use the one-handed type bar clamp) on it and perhaps hang a weight off the bar to over bend it and hold it till it cools.  Perhaps it needs to cool slower.
