on the mend--In the hospital tommorrow
« on: July 13, 2015, 10:44:00 PM »
6/29 full knee replacement and all went well. 7/6 and 7/8 1st PT classes. All is good....then Friday morning of the 10th a 4 AM I start to vomit blood......lots of it. 3 days in ICU with an esophagus bleed. Just got home tonight, lost a ton of strength........keep me and my family in your thoughts.
I'll pull though this, lost 11 pounds in 4 days.

Not good Ron! Praying for God's quick and mighty hand to heal and protect you and family

Yikes!

That sounds gnarly!

Prayers for sure on all counts: healing, strength and them to find the root cause of such a nasty thing and make sure it's FIXED!

Progress is progress, even when it doesn't measure up to our hopes or wants.

Congratulations on your progress and indeed, we'll carry you in prayer, Ron.

Had a scope this morning and it looks like I'm healing well. I have lost 17 pounds but got the green light from the Dr. to eat a normal diet. Just have to get my strength back. To all:   :notworthy:

Praise God and prayer for continued healing and an attitude of expectation of God's goodness.

Ron,

Great news.  Man has to eat... take er slow and keep the healing going.

I take it that all this was totally unrelated to the knee replacement?  I'm headed there come winter myself... Sure sounded scary...

I echo Galen's prayer for you to lean on His Grace and expect His blessings and healing!
