Prayer Request
« on: June 07, 2016, 08:04:00 PM »
My wife, Taryn, was diagnosed with breast cancer yesterday afternoon. We won't know the extent for 2 to 3 weeks when we get the results of some tests. I'm asking that you pray for Taryn and for our 7 and 11 year old sons, Michael and Ethan. We haven't told them yet.
7 “But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
8 or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you.
9 Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?
10 In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.
Job 12:7-10

My buddy's wife just went thru that.. she was a "well endowed" woman of 68.  Came thru fine...

Much is being done and with early detection, excellent results.

Thank you all for keeping us in your prayers. Words can't describe how much we appreciate it. Ethan comes home from church camp tomorrow afternoon so, the time has come when we have to decide how and when to break the news to our sons.

I want to let you all know that we thank God for each of you and we count you among  the blessings in our lives.

Thanks for all the prayers! Taryn ended up with a single mastectomy and has started the reconstruction phase. We are currently in Zion, Illinois where we got the news this afternoon that she will not need chemo or radiation. Despite the dismal circumstances, God has used this situation to bless us immensely. Our faith is stronger, our relationship with Him and each other is closer and our family in Christ has grown larger and stronger. I am overwhelmed with joy and appreciation. Thank you, Tradgangers! And most of all, thank You, Jesus!

Excellent news on the no further treatment... There is so much they're doing with breast cancer...

I echo your gratitude of "Thank you, Lord!"

Brought a tear reading how this has brought you all closer and expanded your circle of caring!
