If we understood His Word we would know that He has already said yes to our requests. The problem is our ignorance of His Word, Promises, and His Way. Its our responsibility to RECEIVE in faith what He has already provided through Jesus. Jesus said "according to OUR faith it will be done for us." And James said "if a man wavers back and forth in his belief he can not expect anything from God." God has to do it that way to keep satan from using God's promises against us. It has to be believe with your heart to receive what God has already provided. God is NOT the problem we are and we have to humble ourselves and ask Him to Give us a right heart.

indeed, Galen---

'we receive not, because we asknot" but does it not Also say " we receive not because we ask with the wrong heart"?

God being omniscient, truly knows our heart.  keith, like you Galen is a man with a heart for God....

If we knew how graceful He is we'd ask for a right heart and He would gladly give it but He is limited by our unbelief and how well I know that.

thanks, Ron et al,

Prayers for patience and discernment are always appreciated!

Doc showed me the arthoscopic pics inside that shoulder...it were ugly after only 12 yrs since last repair... This guy is super conservative on rehab where other surgeon years back,  after 6 weeks said I couldn't hurt what he repaired... but I Had more torn rotator meat, arthritis impingement, spurs, torn tendons... so lots of repair work...

Doing home stretching, but nothing to the side for a long time... not sure I will be able to pull a bow come fall...last time I was back in 2 months... not with this dude.

I'll do what I must... and not what I shouldn't. I'm not having this again...Crikey.

Garden is coming in and I cannot lift to do the canning I want... bummer.

Them's of you what got a good woman, hold onto em!  :)   They come in handy...   :saywhat:    :knothead:

Just saw this, doc!   I don't think I have been on here since I asked for prayers about my job.   Funny, you would think I would have more time for stuff like this, but it seems like my whole days are consumed with job hunting.

Prayers up from Kansas!  I expect to need shoulder surgery at some point.  Right now I am just living with the pain!

Thems of you got a bad woman...they can come in handy too!   :biglaugh:

Hope you are eating a lot of fresh veggies, and feeling better.
You are a good man. There has been a lot of hurting here that you have helped heal. It will come around!

Again, kinder words never spoken and mean much, Killydear...thank you!

To our many prayer warriors...those who post and those who only PRAY without CEASING (we need both).

I thank you.  Due in larger measure to your prayers for healing, I believe I'm doing just fine.  PT guy is pleased with range of motion...this week, #6 post op, I finally get to doing non-gravity overhead stuff with wand and "walking the wall" with finger tips...hurts a bunch, like bad toothache, but part of the process and I welcome being able to do a wee bit more.

This chap (surgeon) is ultra conservative compared to my Yankee surgeon a decade or more ago (same shoulder--torn rotator and more) but I'm trying to heed his guidelines, albeit, with gritted teeth...I want to DO MORE!   Seems terrible slow... Alas, I'd rather not do this again in this lifetime!

Again, thanks for the healing prayers and it would appear things are going well, slow...  :)   But well and I'll "take it!"  :)  :)

LOL...that might be, Galen, that might be ...but the pt who works with docs from all over says he's ultra conservative...

That makes one of us!        :knothead:
