Small prayer request.
« on: August 08, 2016, 04:41:00 AM »
I have been having some sort of cramps that have really started bothering me mid Saturday and all day Sunday and now I woke up thismorning feeling like I have to go to the rest room but nothing?
I am not 100% sure if it has to do with a McDonalds Large Mocha Frappe I bought Friday morning as a treat because after drinking about 10 to 12 oz. of it I felt something that didn't feel like a small piece of ice but as I removed it from my mouth I thought it was just something like a piece of grit on the straw? It looked like a small fragment of plastic but really small and hard to tell. So I looked at the cup and just saw chocolate pieces in there which I thought was in deed chocolate so I continued to drink it like a milkshake with gulps and just swallowing it and then I felt something again and spit it into my hand and saw it was a 1/4" shard of hard plastic. I grabbed the Frappe and headed right back to Mcdonalds in Easton Md.where I bought it. I walked in and asked to see the Manager and as she asked me "What is wrong"? I said I found this in my drink. She asked to see it and what was left in my drink and I said I thought this is chocolate pieces cause it was a Mocha Frappe and she looked at the girl who gave me my order at the window and she nodded her head and said she remembered me. The lady asked me to see my receipt to verify and I am glad I saved it and handed it to her . I said I hope you will throw out the blender or machine and they just were like o'k' and went back to serving the other few customers. I said I want my receipt and took my Frappe and walked out because I felt ignored.
I froze it at work and took home and waited for my wife to video what was in there as I strained it in a 6" or so strainer with hot water to melt the ice.To our surprise there were about 50 to 100 pieces of hard dark brown plastic and some were as big as my finger .
I don't know how much I may have ingested but thought I should of felt it go down but it's like a milk shake so I sort of "Gulped" some down and now I wonder just if my stomach issue's could be from that?
I'm praying I can pass whatever it was if any went down.
I made it through the weekend with out any major issues as far as using the restroom and haven't had to vomit but just please keep me in your prayers that all will be o.k. and chalk this up as getting a "McCrappe Frappe" I weighed on my scale and found that there was 0.755 oz. of plastic shards with some pieces  1" long and some as small as a b.b. or smaller. Just really hoping "If" it did go down the hatch will it pass through my digestive system? I hate going to the Dr. Period and now I feel I'm too late and not sure I want my gut split open to see what's inside. I keep getting this image of what they found inside the belly of "Jaws" and fear they will find a license plate or something?       :(

Dude...

I"m not sure from our talks if you have medical insurance, but I'd do two things...get to a doctor of internal medicine and two an attorney.

The Folks in Nam used to have to be careful a "friendly" village didn't give you rice with bamboo slivers shaved in it as it's a painful way to die

When we ate fish at grandmas, there were always saltwater taters and bread on the table to "Pad" a bone if we swallowed one...silly it sounds, but anything like that can raise hell in your gut.

You should not mess around with this!  Stuff like that can be dealt with but time is of the essence!

Git er done!  And God's blessings on you!  You've had enough challenges for one lifetime!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Doc,
I went to the Dr. this afternoon and she came in and asked What in the world have I done? I explained what happened and she pushed and pushed on my gut and asked if my Plumbing was backing up etc and I said all seemed to be working as normal just some small pains that come and go like I had gas or something. She looked at the plastic I had in my Frappe cup and she said' You have got to be kidding me"?
She explained it should work out but looking at the little shards that had sharp points she decided to send me over to the hospital to pick up some liguid to drink on Wednesday Morning and have a M.R.I. X-Ray of my stomach and all to see if anything that doesn't belong is stuck on my intestine or walls of stomach etc.
I have to fast tonight for some bloodwork tomorrow and fast Tuesday night for the X-Ray etc.
She walked out of the patient room and then returned and asked if I mind if she took a picture of all the plastic shards in the cup it came in ? I said help yourself so she took a few and shook her head in disbelief .I should of just went Friday but didn't.

Hindsight is always 20-20, Keith... looking back is always perfect vision...

As for "should've"...as we used to say in training, "it ain't good to should on yerself"        :knothead:

If'n there is any complications, you need to get an attorney and see to it that THEIR insurance pays for it.

There is that story about how that woman scaled her crotch with McD's coffee...what an attorney friend told me that media won't, is that very Mc'D's had been told their machine was faulty and had scaled several people, and they ignored it...which is why the woman got the settlement she did, not for the hot coffee scalding her privates but for the store to ignore the warnings they had prior...

No telling what these places are doing to people that folks don't know...

Prayers that you get nothing more then a gut ache and some good clean out..., but dude... those fast food places ain't a "treat!"

Dang, Son...  Keep us updated.

Prayers up!

Going to get the CT scan this morning at 9:30 and praying if I did get small particles in my stomach that it is now out.My stomach has been giving me little signals that something didn't sit just right and had the blood work and not sure why the urine sample test was called for but thinking bactia or something. In about 20 minutes I will get to drink a jug of something from a bottle to prep me for the CT scan and when I get there a second bottle. I am a bit anxious and know God is in control and He will take me through this.

I made it through the CT Scan and now they will send results to my Dr. and praying all if any went through the roller coaster or intestine and out the door and not part of me no more lol...Lord please help me I know i'm ornery but I believe in you and your only begotten son and no I ain't perfect in any way, shape or form. You know I trust this is in your hands Father but I am in the flesh and it is making me a bit nervous in waiting to hear from my Dr. that "All is clear"...Thank you for these good folks we call "Prayer Warriors" on here and for being faithful each day bowing on their knees not just for me but for All our Brothers and Sisters.Thank you in Jesus name I pray.

Good News from the Dr. office.
They called me about 3 hours after the CT Scan and said everything looked Normal but to call if I have any sort of pain or anything else that seems not normal. Thank you all once again for your prayers and concerns. Now I can possibly sleep a little better tonight.

I know the Dr. told me All looks Normal but seems when I eat anything or every so often I get a gut pain about mid section . We just had dinner and I started getting some sharp pains or spikes of pain but seems like it is passing. Not sure if its all the 32 0z. of white chalky yogurt textured contrast I had to drink on Wednesday starting to find its way to the "EXIT" or just the spaghetti my wife made for dinner? If it continues I'm calling the Dr. again that's for sure.

We aren't folding our prayer tent on you yet, Hoss...

Good colon cleans would do you good!  Everything might be rather "stirred up" in your innards and even spicy spaghetti sauce or just the acid in mater sauce could cause some irritation.

I had a barium thing years ago and they had me get that out of my innards FAST afore it set up into cement as I recall.

Just take it easy and eat soft bulky stuff and keep gentle movement for a few days....

I'm sure if the plastic is all gone, it still scratched things up inside some, don'tcha think?

Prayers continue...
