Easter Week
« on: April 10, 2017, 09:24:00 AM »
This is one of the tougher weeks in the church year for me personally... Realizing what Christ endured for our benefit, is just so hard to comprehend, but he was half God and only half man, but sweating blood is a testament it wasn't his most favorite thing...

Just a note of Gratitude for all His suffering and willingness to come pay our debt for our salvation.

Thank you, Jesus!    :notworthy:

A sacrifice beyond understanding through suffering unthinkable, opening heaven for the faithful.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Indeed...a powerful message 2000+ years later, that some will never understand and some of us understand but have trouble grasping...

Jesus was all God and all man or else His sacrifice wouldn't have met the the payment sin demanded. If he was only half we'd only be half saved which means not saved at all. Only God could have accomplished this but it was essential for our salvation and shows our complete inability to earn salvation through good behavior.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])
