Please pray for my 5 year old daughter!
« on: June 16, 2017, 04:57:00 PM »
As many may know my wife and I adopted three girls who all were abandoned and two of our girls have special needs. Our youngest is Darci and she is the little one on the left who is scheduled to have surgery this Thursday to close off or pinch off a hole in her little heart.
My wife will be alone on the trip to the hospital in Washington D.C. and I'll be home getting our oldest daughter off on a trip to Georgia and our middle daughter will stay with me and go to work with me  I am over whelmed with apartment turnovers and our Church has asked me to direct the props and make most props for our annual VBS. Vacation Bible Study for children.
I have been complaining and just feel too much is on my plate right now doing the month of June and I feel "WORN"!
My Wife can handle the stress better then me and my blood pressure has been up and down. I am scheduled for an MRI on my neck this Wednesday after just having about 15 X rays a few weeks ago.
I'm more concerned about my little Daughter's operation which is supposed to be a simple procedure but the Dr's have been monitoring it ever since we brought her home and were hoping it would heal on it's own .
After this surgery she will also be going to Shriner's soon to have her first finger on her left hand moved over to act as a thumb so she can grasp things much better. Her right fingers are pretty rigid and she can't bend them much at all. She is unbelievable to watch as she does things that we take for granted not having thumbs.
So if you all will Please put her and my entire family in your prayers .I need them very bad!
 Thank you all.
God has Blessed us beyond measure with All three of these little girls.

Keith you certainly do have a lot on your plate. I pray that God will heal your beautiful little girl and give her and your wife a safe trip. The Shriners and St. Jude's are both wonderful organizations and I know she will be in good hands. Please know your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless. Philip

Li'l brother, you got it.  I know/remember what you went thru just getting those li'l China Dolls, so this has to wear on you...but...

...His WILL is perfect so my prayers are for HIS WILL be done and that it may mean that His will be for Darci's complete healing from heart surgery and the digit reconstruction.

Lay it at the foot of the cross and Know the PEACE THAT PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING...

Thanks you guys believe it or not your prayers have already took a load off.
The picture is about 31/2 or 4 years old and these girls have really grown.
Darci has a voice and a God given talent cause nobody in my family can sing like she does.
I love listening to her sing songs to me. For a five year old she simply amazes me with her strong hearted spirit.
She knows I'm worried about her and just about every night she comes over and gives me about 5 or 6 little butterfly kiss's on my cheeks and I her.
All our girls have a special gift and God has surely filled my heart with His love.
Sometimes I sit in the woods and I feel like I'm not the best Dad and why would God trust me to raise them then I am reminded I too am adopted through His only begotten Son Jesus.
Happy Father's Day God You are the Best Dad ever!

Beautiful sentiments to close with, Keith!  Awesome actually...

We will never measure up to God's Level of parenting, but He does fill each of us with the Holy Spirit and works to change us from the inside out.  Doesn't make it easy to not be concerned, but it is reassuring.

Now, good also to read that there is a "load off" cause you do NOT wish to transfer your anxiety to Darci.

God's in control and whatever he plans for our/their future, No worry can change a whit of it!

Keep on keeping the Son in your eyes!

Praising Jesus for His perfect sacrifice which provides everything we need in Him. May the reality of Him in you and your girls, give you comfort and strength as the Holy Spirit works His miracles in your daughter and you.

Keef,  I think I see God's answer in your own words:  "... she simply amazes me with her strong hearted spirit."

God created Darci's little heart, hole and all. Cavitating like that for about 6 years now, her little heart has had to work harder than the normal heart, so it has grown larger and stronger to prepare for this very day in her life.  God knew this was coming, and planned it this way: To sustain her through this surgery using her "strong heart" for His glory!  He is about to work through her and this procedure, through your Faith. So don't worry about tomorrow, He is already there, brother.

God's strength and peace to you all. Darci is in good hands with her father and her Father.
Tim

Just got a text from Keith that Darci's surgery went well and is in recovery...

He's likely away from his computer so I thought I'd share for our prayer warriors...prayers continue for full healing and no complications... then onto the digit reconstruction...

I"m sure we're not the only ones...he's a very considerate man...

Just knew he'd be working so I posted and let him know and he was gracious enough to say "thanks".

He's a keeper!

How you doing, Fred?

Hey Doc and everyone Thank you so much. Doc I appreciate that I'm a "Keeper" but some will toss me back lol.
I got to talk to Darci late last night around 10:00 and she was really doing well. She took a walk with Mama and if everything looks good with the Dr. she can come home today.
Last night was a busy night cause I had to get our oldest off after VBS to go to Georgia for a reunion with other familys in our adoption group.
My wife and I both had to miss out this year for many reasons but please pray for travel Mercies for Ande if you will.
Darci kissed the phone many times last night as we Face timed each other.
She had a stuffed lion a lady in Church gave her and the Dr's put those EKG things on it and bandaged it up so they both looked the same.
They were very caring with Darci and actually were laughing with her.
Seeing a Big smile on her just assured me God is in control and I Praise Him .
The thing they put in her heart was called a "Gore". sort of like two flaps that they put around or near the hole and your heart grows around it and heals the hole.
She will have it for life and have quite a few check ups to make sure all is well.
Thanks again everyone and please continue in prayers. Now I have to head back to work so I'll update when I can.
