« on: September 27, 2017, 07:10:00 PM »
Just got a text from Keith.  He passed out on Sunday after taking his wife's Cough medicine for a cold(?). he's had ongoing rectal bleeding apparently rather profusely.  He's in the hospital and still there... GI Scope tomorrow.

Gut pains on rt side, but didntt need a transfusion as the bleeding has ebbed.

He asks for our prayers!

Gnarly...  :(

Jesus thank you we can stand in Your place and You never refused to heal anyone who asked in faith. So in Your name Jesus and by Your Spirit Kieth be healed and restored.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Praise be to God I am out of hospital and home taking it slow today and finishing lots of antibiotics.
I was feeling sick last week with coughing so much and with my meds. I take daily mixed with a prescription cough syrup  meant for my wife I took tablespoons instead of teaspoons and wasn't mine but all we had in the house at time.
Well as I just climbed out of bed and walking into my living room I all of a sudden felt like a tranquilized Moose coming down and stumbling to my knees then flat out.
My three little girls and wife witnessed this and I could hear my 5 year old screaming like she just saw the "Boogie man" poor thing.
My oldest came running to my side as I felt sweaty and Hot and I asked for a cold cloth.
My wife calmed the runt and dialed 911 and tried her best gathering information for the lady on the other end.
Next thing I knew I was feeling good and got up and started the side step like a drunk in a bar and fell into the couch and started breathing very slow .
Friends came and sat beside me and comforted me with prayers as the paramedics arrived.
I was taken to the hospital and as they gave me a med to reverse the meds. I was told I  began screaming from abdominal pain and heaving a dry heave then lost everything I had inside me (be glad you weren't there lol).
Got a private room and no one could come in unless wearing a gown till tests came back from lab.
From that evening for two days and nights I bleed so much blood that it took me back the day I severed my hand in a log splitter and figured I needed a blood transfusion but Dr. and Nurse's said my H and H was just above the limit and ok as long as blood loss decreased and it did start to ease on Wednesday sometime. Had a scope yesterday mid morning and got to see it on live color t.v. while awake and things were looking better.
Have a small case of diverticulitis and irritation and such but dieting is my long term goal to full recovery as well.
Thank you all for your prayers as each time I tried to stop and pray in hospital I would doze off from meds. or a nurse would come in and do her job.
I had the best Nurse's who told me I was one there favorite patients and If I needed anything just ring my call button.
I apologized so much to the Er nurse who had to change put up with removing my soiled clothing and clean me every few minutes that she said "Please stop apologizing"
I Thanked each and every Nurse, caregiver,Dr. and cleaning lady each time they came in and I know some folks don't give these folks enough credit with complaints but they were there for me.
Had my first nurse actually give me a back rob as I lay tensed up and held my hand to calm me and say 'you will be o.k. Sweetheart!
Felt so loved and cared as If God sent me a angel as my Nurse that first night. It reminded that this is the kind of Love Jesus gave and as written "We are to Love one another" and Jesus gave His All!

I tend to think those diverticulitis are more prevalent then people know. After my post age 50 Colonoscopy, they said I had a few and some pollyups but then years later a standard precaution follow up was the very same report. I, being a smart butt, asked the doc if he xeroxed the earlier report.

They want to make a big deal of it. Mom had those pouches all thru her and had troubles with seeds and such...so far no such for me as I relish my tomatoes from the garden and such...  :)

Good to hear you're doing ok, bucko!  Best to have some generic cough syrup around with 5 in the house and 3 in school where all manner of nasties live and grow .

Pharmacist told me all that Nyquil is is some of the generic cough syrup with Gulfenisin (SP?, a tylenol and a shot of whiskey... read Nyquil label and sure enough...

Enough alcohol in there to make you sleep...

Hang in there and praise God things weren't worse in the long run...

Thanks Doc for being my reporter for me the other day and posting my prayer needs while in the hospital. I truly appreciate you stepping in and delivering the prayer and joining everyone in doing so.
I am back to coughing a lot but I have antibiotics I need to complete to get rid of all the boogers /nasty's inside me and should finish those early this week.
I now may need a sleep study done and a C pak or whatever cause they also believe I'm not getting enough oxygen and could of had something to cause the bleeding.
How I don't have a clue but hard to believe a night or so on a cough syrup could make you bleed as I did and lots of it.
A bit weak and sore arm where my fluids were injected with some red swelling ,bruise's etc.
Gut pains on and off through out the day and night still but I am trying to move and do things cause I am planning to work tomorrow.
Feel like if I ain't moving or doing anything I'm wasting away but do understand I need the rest and time to mend.
I have several very special nurse's and ER tech I want to praise for going above and beyond their job title and they were outstanding with me.
Never felt the kind of care I got from one special nurse on my first night stay. She was young, caring and held my hands and massaged my shoulder as I lay in pain. She said goodbye to me after her 12 to 14 hour shift as the next nurse took over. I actually felt as if an angel was sent to let me know it would be ok while in the hospital.
Then a day later I remembered that in 2002 I was in a room near mine where I held and cared for my mother as she took her last breath of life and it was just her and I and I said "Mom thank you for All you have done for us Now if Jesus is near please go Home and we will be alright"! She drew her last breath and a tear ran down her eyes as I said keep going Mom you are Home!

Beautiful testament, Keith... brought a tear to my eye reading it about your Mom.

I still wonder about that plastic in your milk shake or latte or whatever back whenever... could have done some scarring...

CPAP and bleeding?  They know more then me, but I had a study done years ago and it was borderline, but they found a way to get insurance to pay for it...

I have friends that it made a HUGE difference in energy levels in a few days...I did it religiously, even traveling, for 2 yrs and it didn't do any measurable good.

No problem being your go between to post up a prayer request...I appreciated being asked to do such a thing.

Don't be stubborn about your healing, know that stuborn and stupid both start out the same letters and often end up the same outcome...

Good luck and God luck getting to the bottom of this gut stuff and bleeding...

Doc and everyone I thank you all for your prayers and today I see my Dr. and will take all my meds. etc. to see what else might of triggered this besides the cough syrup which I only took several times but I believe something else triggered it as well with that?
Doc I actually thought about that plastic I gulped down a year ago and I showed the pictures to my DR.that was in the hospital and she thinks it would of picked up or caused problems by now.
I explained I had the same sort of cramps /pain bursts like I did after that episode with the chard chunks of plastic I drinked from that McDonalds Frappe . I still have the cup of it and over 200 pieces I didn't swallow that day Thank God.
I'll mention it to my Dr. this morning and glad she took pictures as well. I never did any settlement cause I wanted to be 100% certain that all is well. I had 3 years on this to figure which way to go but 2 know.
May not be anything from those chard pieces but to all who drink things like this please look closely of what's in those cause I thought it was chocolate chunks of chocolate chips cause it was called a "Mocha Frappe"!
Now I am starting to feel better each day and been working but tired by 2:00p.m. and once I get home I pretty much have to lay down and take a nap. My blood loss was just at the border line or a little less and they call it your H&H and they think I can regain that quickly on my own.
I have had 3 units of blood when I severed my hand and remember there was lots flowing out due to cutting my arteries and I had to regain the rest with vitamins etc.
All in all you guys have been great in your prayers and I appreciate you all. God Bless Brothers and Sisters and I have you all in mine as well!

Keefer the Word says that by His stripes you were healed (past tense) In the Great Commission Jesus said as disciples we are lay hands on the sick and they Will recover. He doesn't say we're to ask God to do it but we're supposed to do it. If Jesus was standing in front of you He would heal you if you asked Him to. So as part of the body of Christ I will let the Holy Spirit flow through me and I say in Jesus name be healed. Remember Jesus paid for your healing and He wants what He paid for. Remember we're the hose He's the Living Water.
Unfortunately the teachings of man have made God's have no effect. Be a good Barian and search the scriptures to see if what I've said is the truth.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Galen,
I was just listening to this guy but can't remember the series of his recordings but he mentioned how We have the power to heal if we have the faith and believe.I'm with you 100% .
I don't know how to word things sometimes but when I was sick I knew my Brothers and Sisters were praying over me and trusting my problem was being taken care of.
I'm still a babe in Christ and believe without a shadow of Doubt Jesus is my Savior and He died on the cross and has resurrected for our sins.
I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and baptized in the Holy Spirit..
Galen I know exactly what you mean as we are disciples as well and we have that same power.
Wished I could remember that fella's name but I think his last name was Womack or something like that .
