At risk of getting banned by mentioning crossbows, may I humbly suggest that if you could still enjoy sitting out in the fall you might look into a xbow?  There are ones out there that are recurve prod and very simple - and bow like - mechanically.  With someone to help you cock it and setup, ground blind and tripod, it might be the ticket to getting back to at least a little hunting?

Best of luck to you wherever the road leads!!

Wannabe, I am sorry and will pray for you.  I want to thank you for sharing your journey and time as a brother of the stickbow.  You will be missed, but remembered with each shot of the bow.

T.W.,

I have not read all the responses to your thread so I don't know everything that has been said.

We do not really know one another other that what we have shared here on TradGang but I would just like to encourage you in the truth that peace and joy can be realized even in pain and suffering. I know to some that statement may sound ridiculous but I hope you understand it to be true.

My prayers go out to you, your wife, and family. I pray for your healing but should this burden be your lot to battle I pray you and your family be given the grace and courage to accept the struggle. Fight hard and lean heavy on the Great Physician.

God bless you and yours.
A man's true measure is not found in what he says, but in what he does.
