Prayers for you and your family through these times. Sounds like you are taking it head on. My father was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year and it is hard watching a man that is 75 who has worked from sun up to sun down not be able to continue doing what he has loved to do. I hope you can continue on with a new path, but certainly stick around on here..

Dang.  That (obviously) sucks.

But, Just reading your posts, tells me that you have the toughness and the fortitude to take on this burden and I will hope that all goes the best it can for you and your family.

Having said that, don't feel like you have to leave the gang, nor cannot comeback in time when you may be ready.   Obviously you can leave, but please don't  feel like this thread - has to be the end.

It doesn't take much reading on here to realize that many folks are living vicariously though others on here, whether that is a hunt we cannot afford or physically handle,  and maybe you will want to "continue the pursuit" later on to make your life a little more normal.

A lot of what we do here is a state-of-mind and that is all good.

All the best - Dave

Truly from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all! Already being a disabled Vet, this didn't help matters any that's for sure. LOL!   :biglaugh:  I gotta tell ya, a man couldn't be blessed more than with a family that is full of support. I don't mean just the home front family either.

I am not depressed or angry from any of this. My biggest worry was for my wife and kids but, they are real troopers and have been right in there learning with me. Even my 8yr old son, who I believe will be a much more successful hunter than his Papa, has did his part and helps when I can't lift certain things.

I have always been thankful for everything but, this Thanksgiving was even more special for me. When life throws you lemons, throw them back, get new seed and grow oranges! Thanks again my friends, TW.

Maintain a strong will, and I hope that the VA will provide you with the treatment that you need. MS is a terrible disease (I have a brother who has it), but it is not necessarily the end. Keep fighting!
