Morrison Shawnee?
« on: December 22, 2007, 04:46:00 PM »
I am planning on adding to my bow collection shortly, but am not sure what advantage there is to a hybrid style bow.  Specifically I was considering a Morrison Shawnee.  What advantage or disadvantage is there to having either the Cougar or Dakota Limbs.  Currently I have a "discontinued" Morrison Arapaho 60" 59#@29".  I happen to actually draw around 30" and thought that possibly a longer bow 62 - 64" might be a little more forgiving.  Any thoughts as to why I should or should not get longbow limbs instead of recurve limbs?

Strictly a personal choice I have a Shawnee with Arapaho (recurve) limbs and I love it very smooth draw and I think forgiving, with that said I have a Shawnee on order with Bob's new Carbon/Foam Dakota (longbow) limbs and have heard nothing but good things about them.
My advise is call Bob and talk to him he is very personable and will tell it like it is.

Amen Tater...I second that.  Call Bob he will lead you in the right direction.
