Kempf Kwik Styk, was serious about ordering one a few weeks ago. Contacted Joe Skipp - great guy - unfortunately Mr. Kempf has had a price increase and I'm weighing options. Never-the-less may be affordable for your budget.

Thanks again for the posts. I looked at some of the earlier posts and they were recurves with static tips. I'm looking for a straight limb bow with static tips, like the old Slayer. I love the classic look of those bows. Thanks again.

Another vote for RER. You wont be sorry.

RER bows are tops in my book....
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

Does anyone know if any of the Bowyer's Bible editions covers statics? I would love to try and build on myself, just don't know how.
I checked out and spoke with Jim Belcher, he makes beautiful bows and is easy to talk to.

Got my RER Arroyo static tip a couple of months ago . Brilliant    !!!!!!!!! I don't reckon fancy veneers and polish make a bow shoot better so I got his base model , nice hardwood riser , black glass bamboo laminations $ 425 .00

62 " long 43 # @ 28"
590 gr arrow ramin wood - 159fps from her
490 gr arrow -  POC 176 fps
300 grain carbon - 213 fps

I am not one for chono numbers but I could not resist because my mate reckoned his 45 # gamemaster shot better - the RER was quicker with all arrows buy a few fps but more impressivly my bow does not stack and has only a minor buzz felt on release and shoots near as quite as my selfbows - Never been happier with a bow   :clapper:  . regards Jacko

Belcher Archery makes a great looking static recurve. Jim also makes the Massie "Longhorn" after buying the rights from Jeff Massie. He is a third generation bowyer with loads of experience.
