Are you kidding, Jon?  You could kill a Sasquatch more easily than a Steenbok!  They can jump any arrow and they are merely figments of the hunter's imagilation!

Jon,
I saw 2 last time in Namibia.  One was at night, the other just before dark.  You might get to see some on this trip...killing them is another thing.  Brady

Cool.  I don't think I have ever heard anyone say they killed one with a bow.  I'm sure someone has though.

Jon,
I know that some folks have.  I think I recall seeing a picture of one Don Thomas with the remains of one that he had killed then the jackals had eaten.

Really?  Yes, I'm sure plenty of people have done it...I just can't think of anyone who has though.  It'd be cool to see one though.

I shot one in Namibia when we videoed African Dream. Had it full mounted. Have to dig for hunt pics. They are high-strung and I was lucky.

The only other person I know who shot one with trad gear is Nathan Andersohn.

Denny,
I should have known.  Lucky...I doubt it.  Hope you are doing well.  I still need to give you a call sometime to talk shop.

I have a good friend Jonny Snyman who shot one on a walk and stalk in the Molopo area, southern Kalahari. He's a humble guy and great bowyer. He  sent me pics of his hunt but I can't post them. I'll ask him to send them himself!

iv been lucky to have shot 2 steenbuck with my bow, whilst hunting pigs on a friends farm around the center pivot irrigation. They are very sharp and iv had a few jump the string. beautifull little animals!

anyone know of someone shooting a klipspringer with trad gear? that would be pretty impresive

Jon either you or Doc will just have to shoot one for the video.  you now have a challenge, to take either a  steenbok or a klipspringer so i can get it on film....

Hi every-one, yes steenbok has been killed with bow and arrow, and I'm probably sticking my neck out to be copped off, but it seem such same to kill them as there are not that many real wild ones left.
happy hunting all
