Have a great trip all of you guys!
There might be one thing to check before you go?! Don't know which arrows each of you will use, but I used wood (birch) the last time - which is also a little while ago now.
Well, the day before yesterday I used some of my veteran African birch shafts in a new to me bow with quite bad results! One off the few shot, made a big jump and missed the target by 3ft. on 20yrds. Okay - my fault, something with the release or so, I thaught. Do it again! Same dangling in the bow, with hitting the sight window by the nock and speeding away in an awfull wrong direction!
After putting this particular shaft on the spine meter I had to notice [NOW], that in my bunch of all self made hunting arrows, one is underspined by 10-15#
Even though my then used Kodiak T/D seems to be more forgiving in this respect then the now tested bow, I have no excuse for this fault and don't understand how that could happen to me
I guess I wanted to say: Double check all the important stuff! There are 5 days to go - so plenty of time!
