I'd take at least two dozen although you probably won't need more than 1/2 dozen. I brought fletching gear, inserts etc. and all kinds of trash for arrow repair, you don't need to go crazy like I did. So it's better to take more arrows and not worry about having to repair them when you should be hunting and having fun instead. Make sure you have good glue on your fletching and goop them up with a bit of extra glue so they don't fall off in your suitcase.
Do take some field tips so you can practice and do some stumping. Remember to practice your shooting every day even if it cuts into your gin and tonic time, then you won't miss as many shots as I did.
