xmas pres
« on: December 27, 2007, 02:43:00 AM »
I made this for a mate that has almost everthing hunting related and is a bit hard to buy for.The blade is L6 and not sure what the handle wood is but it is very old and the hardest I have ever worked with.I also made the box out of some other timber I had here not sure what it is either but is a hard wood also and had nice grain. It was cut from a single piece on the band saw and ground to the right dimensions and put together to make the box and it has a cypress pine piece added for his name. This knife was totally planed before starting and I stuck to the plan the whole way and am really happy with the results. It is raining today so not great pics but will get some more in a week or so when I get it back off him.
(So was Graham)  :D

Kim, that is a work of art. You're a good friend. The person that gets that, should feel honored to receive it.  :clapper:
