yep, that Gregg is one great hunter huh guys? He took me to that island a couple of years ago for a hunt. No shots but always a treat for sure.
You know the feeling when you meet someone who is such a serious hunter with a compound, you wonder why he isn't shooting stickbows? I talked him into it, made him some wooden arrows, he got a stickbow, and was off to the races, never looked back.
Ain't nothin better than a crawfish skiff, white shrimper boots, and hogs in the marsh! Louisiana style vacation! LOL

09-21-2004: My buddy had been talking to some loggers the day before and had seen a couple of deer feeding on edge of weedy pasture across the road on some other property we hunt. I went in the next day to see what they were feeding on and found a large oak on edge of pasture that was loaded with acorns and acorns all over the ground, with lots of deer sign. It was a little to thick around the oak to setup so I backtracked the main trail about 40 yards to a spot I could get some clear shots. Up the tree I went with my treesuit and about 6:05 p.m. here comes this here doe. I popped her at about 12 - 15 yards, she let out a bellow and tore off in a death run. Easy blood trail about 100 yards to dead deer. The 2016 aluminum arrow with a Simmons Interceptor 2 blade from the 50 lb. Iron Mtn longbow took the doe quartering away. You can see the entry wound in the pic-the arrow completely broke the opposite side leg bone in two as it exited. Good way to start the season!

Mark, You ain't never lied about Gregg. He really knows his way around the swamp and how to slip up on hogs. A very generous person, also.

Doug, life sure looks wonderful in Montana. Tried to talk the wife into moveing there for years when we first got married. Nope, no way, load your bike and go, she said. Seriuosly thought about a new wife.....naww... just kiddin...maybe :D

Doug, I am not worthy, How did you finally get her convinced mine just cant get more than 100 or so miles away from the coastline. Me I am ready ta hit the high country. Only problem is that there aren't any hogs up that way and I would have to totally change my handle ta somthin like "Montana Prarie dog Buster" or well na that dont quite ring either does it. :(

. Oh well thtas ok live it up fer me.
