Well Eric it wearn't easy, took several years and I'll never forget when she finally conceded. The Dixie Chicks had just come out with a new song and she gave me the CD as a suprise and highlighted one song called "Cowboy Take Me Away".
I know the Chicks have thier problems but this'n still brings tears to my eyes  :bigsmyl:

Yup.

Killdeer~*sigh*
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Killdeer: I hope you see this. This may sound crazy but are you the female who was walking around smoking a pipe at ATAR this year? Inquiring minds wanna know....

Well my first deer this year was this doe.I used a pair of climbers and loc-on stand to get back in a thick area I had wanted to hunt that was dropping a lot of acorns.Soon after climbing and hanging the stand in the morning I heard that unmistakable sound of acorns popping. :)
 I could not locate the deer through the dense cover for a few minuites untill I finaly zeroed in on where the poping was comeing from.She made the mistake of stepping into a hole in the canopy at 19 steps.
 The Adcock longbow and intercepters did the job they were meant to.  ;)  A high extrance and exit left a sparse blood trail and she ran a lot farther than she should have.I heard her fall but it still took a few to find her in the thick cutover.

....Quality deer management means shooting them before they get tough....

Ok, so the scenery is flat and boring here, not as 'drop your jaw beautiful' as where some of you hunt...but at least there are deer. We have to import hurricanes to have a pretty sunset!
