Denny, that Shrew you saw hanging on the spider web was just waiting for his next meal...another spider.  :p

according to my study of Shrews, one of their main food sources is spiders. They particularly love Black Widows...they taste like "chicken"  :bigsmyl:

It's usually not the bow but the man behind it.  Be weary of a man that only owns one bow 'cause he is probably damn good with it>  I'd love to be there to watch this unfold.  :notworthy:    :notworthy:

Ron
I had a widow once it wasn't bad but now I have my Shrew and it is awesome. I have to say I really love the SS Shrew that was donated to the Compton shoot. I may be a little late but man you really outdid yourself. I wish I could own that bow. I've been putting a good hurting on the Widows, Morrison Cougars, and anything else that has come against me here in the Midwest. I do have a little trouble with my brother's Horne Combo hunter from time to time. But so far this year I have won the most 3D shoots and Novelty shoots. If you don't beat the Widows I will be severly disappointed. I might even need some therapy and counseling. And you can bet your new predator call (the one with the decoy option) that I will find you within the next year and find out first hand what the h%ll went wrong. So eat well, get plenty of rest, take your vitamins and say your prayers. You will need all of these to take out those darn spiders. If you don't succeed I want to interview for a chance to get some revenge. Just remember I asked first and I will be more than happy to come and see you for the interview to see if I might be worthy. I suggest you do what most people would do and stop talking and be humble. Let the likes your your loyal Shrew followers take over. We should be able to handle it from here. You just focus and we will sling the good natured BS back and forth. I'm with Sparta-T, I love good natured razzing back and forth. It makes life so much more interesting. Before you know it we could have a shoot with the boys from Widowland vs the men from Shrewland. [For all of you who don't know this is a innocent joke no offense is intended, and I can only say this now that Ken Beck has sold Black Widow because I respect him so much.] A national event held at the best randevous anyone has ever been to. With matching bows and custom knives for every novelty shoot and the best barbeque anyone has ever tasted. Sorry I carried on it gets real boring here in Nebraska. Good thing I'm heading back home to Montana for the 4th of July. I'm going stir crazy. My wife said she can tell that I haven't been back home to visit in a while. I've went a few months longer than I normally do. Any way good luck and shoot straight.

We added a new twist to the range last night. Its called the mini polar bear back-shot through the brush gauntlet shot.

We oiled up the running javelina target. Ron said it was too slow for him last time.

Ron, Found your arrow you lost on the 55 yard elk shot. Only problem was I found it after a mower blade snapped it. Oh, I just remembered I already told you that. LOL  :bigsmyl:

Don't worry Denny, I wouldn't stoop to such a low trick as peanut butter. I'm not going to play mind games with you, really I'm not.     You'll have enough to worry about just knowing that EVERY BLACK WIDOW FAN IN THE COUNTRY IS COUNTING ON YOU!

Roger, Ray has a recipe for everything, including humble pie. He may have to make one up for me after this is over.  ;)

Roger, I don't know much about cooking up a spider in a tuxedo, however I like your idea of Widow Kabobs.

I can't think of a better use for a widow bow than to whittle it down into kabob skewers and use it to make some grilled venison kabobs with a tomato based sauce.   :bigsmyl:

As far as humble pie, I'll have to go down in the old file room and dust off that recipe. They may not make some of the ingredients anymore for the recipe I used to use.   ;)

When you hear the jingle of spurs and smell the sweet cachet of oft oiled leather, you'll know the "Kid" has arrived. (Insert Whistle from the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly)

Have bow...will travel.

Ron, Don't be afraid to have a stick under your foot and as Denny reaches full draw step down on it and snap it. This is fair play. You could ask him what that snap was. He won't be able to concentrate a bit. He WILL loose all the good mojo he feels for his Widow.
Now being the good sport and great sportsman you are you could also offer him a new S.S. Gold with a 5% discount and a custom tee shirt that says "Ron LaClair took me to school and I flunked". Lets cut the tail off the tee shirt also.  :notworthy:

I think someone should video this. I'm sure a lot of people would like to see it. Put me on the list if someone does.

Denny you got to wooop da paints off him. All us BW Boys know that you got a leg up by just shooting a Widow. Shouldn't be to hard, just point it in the general direction and she'll naturally hit bulls eye.

My 2 best lines when in competition against another shooter, best uttered when your competitor is at full draw:

1. "Whats that cracking sound?"
2. "When did your wife et those implants?"

Both guaranteed to wreck a mans focus!!!!
