Arvid at Black Swan knows how to make a bow that gets everything out of a short draw. Ask Kawika B about his 58" hybrid.

Love both my Libertys 1 Contender and 1 English
Allen Boice is the bowyer and is great to work with. He can have you a custom made top shelf longbow in less than two months. I bought two of his bows cause I knew when he got an internet site snd the word got around about the quality and shootability of his bows that his lead time would soar.  www.libertylongbows.com/

Ron I have a RER Vortex #51@28" and its 56" tall. Great everything bow. Smooth pull and shot. Waiting is less than a year but they also usually have some in stock that won't break your bank account.

Well, if you want a longbow that is dead in hand.... better go with the Black Swan metal riser, or an older 21st Century Buddy bow that has the beefed-up riser. The Adcock metal riser is another one, but availability is not good, yet. These bows can shoot 8-9 gpp arrows with a true dead in hand feel. I don't think others come close, unless you shoot 11-12 ggp arrows. None of the above are available in 60" length.... so I guess the dead in hand thing might have to be compromised, or shoot a real heavy arrow.

The Liberty Chief is available in 60"; atleast that is what his order form says.  I shoot 66" bows so I didnt ask Allen about shorter lengths. There are times when a shorter bow would be nice.

My vote goes for a Thunderstick MOAB, or Big River LB.  Big River will run you less $$, and be a great bow.  MOAB is Swee-ee-t-tt and runs @$600.

I'm really curious.  You had a Griffin but most, if not all the bows mentioned above do not have the riser forward style.  Did you like the Griffin?  If so why would you consider anything other than that style (Griffin/McCullough, Super Shrew, Mosshorn).  I'm just curious, not confrontive on this.  Currently I'm trying out the  Griffin style with a Mosshorn.  So far I like it and would probably not change style at this point (but a good deal on a Pronghorn might change my mind).
