Thank you everyone! It was an honor to have Hope with me. I have a plan hatched for the evening after work. I should have about 2 hours of light left...nothing like going for broke on a buck that will soon be on the move and out of my life unless he strolls by during the rut.

A word on Hope Sarrels: aside from being really pretty she is a fine shooting bow. I draw to 29.5 and the 60" is not a problem. I find the ease at which it draws feels lighter than 54# at 28. Whoever gets her next is going to have a real treat!

Great story and hunt Mike. Sharing it with your son does make it a perfect hunt. The turkey was just a bonus. Congratulations to you both!

It looks as though the adventures of Hope and Faith are starting down the righteous path! Excellent hunt with you and your boy. I 'Hope' you success with that buck. Good luck, and thanks for sharing and starting out the bows with some good mojo.
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

Way to go, Mike! You seem to have a thing for shooting turkeys with bows named Hope! Didn't you shoot a bird with the Hope that I have?

Congrats again,

Bisch

Yes Bisch I sure did! It was a fall hen as well. They eat pretty good   :)   Matter of fact today for lunch we are having a turkey sauce picante, Kip Manual inspired, with rice and biscuits.

*Turkey breast from Hope

*Make a roux, holy trinity of onion, pepper and celery with Hopes bird added.

I hunted last night out of a tree with Hope. We had a little six cruise us. 75% of the crops are out of the fields and the nice relaxed bachelor groups are busted up into bucks with their own agenda. Lots of solos now. Seeing some field edge scrapes and some frustration rubs. I might get a little rut activity before Ms Hope has to leave.
