Mickey, thanks bud...what a neat bow. I like the nocks. From what I have read, those are period correct for that bow. Tim did a bang up job.
My dimensions are close to his with a few exceptions. I have 1" fades at da grip and the wide part will be 1 15/16 tapering to 1 5/8 over 13"...then the outer fades to 1" gradual taper to 1/2" over 16" at the nocks.
I sure appreciate the dimensions. I printed them off and stuck them in my book 'o' bow stuff... :D
How does the bow shoot Mickey...is it dead in the hand as legacy predicted..LOL Thanks again Bro.
I am still pondering the wind check..have several options at hand. Thanks to all following along for the nice comments. Dave, your threads on eyeballin' tiller have helped me more than you will ever know. Ya even got pop pokin his pinky out...LOL

Spark to tell you the truth I have never even strung the bow. Tim said it has some chrysals (which I couldn't find) so I didn't want to risk breaking it. It is just a valuble piece in my collection.

BOB...WOW!...man you ought to share those with the gang, that is a awesome bow. I love the look of the rawhide...thanks Bro. If you don't mind can you put up some of your dimensions for us to ponder...

I got a lil' bit done tonite...new pics up if ya wanna look. The wind check has all but dissapeared from the tips with a little shaping in that area. It still remains but I believe will dissappear after final shaping of the tips.
I broke out the ol' spokeshave tonite. Lemmie tell ya on white wood straight wood...the curls come off like buttah' as Jawge would say

Here's as close as I can get...these bows are a bit difficult for me to measure... LOL. 65" /64" n-t-n...4" grip with 1 1/2" fades...1" wide grip tapering out to 1 3/4" at the fades....14" working limbs that taper from 1 3/4" to 1 1/2", then about a 2" "transition area" from 1 1/2" down to 3/4", and then the last 13" tapers from 3/4" down to less than 3/8" at the tip, which is just 1/2" above the nock. The grip is 1 1/2" thick and tapers to just under 3/4" at the fade, then to 3/8" and then to about 1/4" in the bending limb as it aproaches the thicker tip. The transition to a thicker tip starts in the 2" "transition area" where it goes from about 1/4" to near 3/4" and retains near 3/4" until almost at the tip. I hope this makes some kind of sense.

I've heard that said from a lot of folks Sparky. I don't recall having that much trouble with it but I won't do it again. Sherwin Williams Supreme I think. I wish it held up as well on my house. ;-(

I am interested in the transitional area in the outer limbs. The information I have been able to come up with doesn't address those areas in very much detail. I have came up with what I thought it should look like but it is only a stab in the dark.
