That is beautiful Dan.  Keep on her.  I love making recurves but heed Tim's advice.  They have so much less wood working that you have to treat them with care.  Lovely though.  Happy Holidays!  I got a CatQuiver lookalike from my BIL.  Bless his heart!
Take a kid hunting!

Looks good.  I need to find a piece of wood like that for my first osage bow.  The rings look dreamy.  Keep the pics coming.

Nice start Dano.  If you want a straight finished bow figure on 1 1/2" of reflex to start.  The one recurve I made took about 2" of set.  Once you get her mostly tillered you can take a ton of wood out of the curves.

Did you see that white wood bow of Marc's that Bob Barnes had at Mojam?

Nice curves dude.  No splintering?

I wanna see this one step by step!   I recently learned how much more challenging it was than a straight bow.

Thanks guy's I'll try to keep you all posted on this one, she is bending pretty good from fades out right now. I like to work from fades out as well, on this one I really wasn't sure where to start.

David I wish I had seen that bow now, I didn't know anyone had one of Marc's bows, dangit.

Merry Christmas ya'all.

I got a short string on her, with her permission  :bigsmyl:  There ain't nothin like stringin a recurve for the first time talk about pucker power    She's braced to 6" here

I have her at 40# @21" here

Unstrung, you can see has taken about 3/4" of set, which I can live with.

The limb on the left leading the way a bit?  Or is that camera angle?
