I'm rejoining the ranks as "grasshopper".I can't even begin to fill the shoes of a teacher.   :(

Thanks Dano. I hope to do a lot better on the next project bow.

If you remember Professor Poofy I learned to build, tiller, patch, and  back in one session. I couldn't lift my arms for a week  :scared:    :scared:  but it was worth it!

That lady is getting a really fine one there!

Glad you straightened that up. I would also like to re-iterate that I have never taught anyone to be poofy. Larry is a no-frills or poofy kind of guy.  :wavey:

had a little time today and thought I would add a little cosmetics.

Horn tip overlays and a horn palm swell.

Didin't know TBII would work for gluing on antler! Learn something new everyday. Been fun watching this one buddy.

Linc..... I use epoxy mixed with horn or antler dust, depending on the type of overlay, as a filler when I glue my overlays on....never had one pop...... I'd be inclined to go with CA gel over Titebond II if epoxy is not to your liking..... Nice job bringing the tiller home.....      Terry

Thanks Terry. I had read your tutorial on horn tip overlays.I just had TBII handy so that's what I used.I think CA gel would have been a better choice. If nothing else, this could be considered a test.I roughed up both surfaces real good to give more surface area for the glue to hold on to.

Chad, Not sure how well TBII will work.It seems to work good for most everything else.

BIG QUESTION! What can you use to dye the horn? I'm not sure if I like the natural color that much.Might want to make them black.

Sorry it's taking so long to get this baby finished. I've been put on overtime at work. 6 day work week @ 10 hrs a day.Doesn't leave much time for anything else.I'm also splitting up my time and working some on a "special project bow".
