I'll do something too, let the pros do shaping and tillering, let us newbe's do a little decorating like handle or tips.

Mike and Terry,
   I got the E-mail, you want a 64" or 95" stave?
The 95" stave has a dogleg in the area where the handle would be, that if incorporated would automatically cant the bow.  Let me know which you want or I'll send you one of each.

Well I'll make the same offer for this one as I did for the other one and volunteer to do a super glue and stacked leather handle overlay with the same type arrow shelf or shelves being an option.

Sounds like the other bow will have a wood overlay most likely.  This will probably have a leather wrap too but the leather helps round out the back and can be made long enough to show a bit at the top and bottom.
Dave

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

Terry I'm interested, but I'm out of my league here, this is going to be pretty neat to see. I'm looking forward to seeing this one.  How about a Ferret Floppy quiver for it, that I could put together for it.

I guess you got it covered.  Of course you can count on me to help in any way I can.

A bit of reflection on the last couple times I've been involved in similar efforts.  I bet well over $200 in shipping was involved in MOJOEs I and II just getting it to various bowyers, artisans.  I know I spent over $50 myself.  Minimize that to the extent possible and funnel that $ away from the USPS and into  St. Jude's.  Just a thought.

Peace,

John

John....Would you be willing to chronicle the build along on your site??..... I hear you on the shipping costs, any of us who have participated in these group builds have sunk some change into shipping. I'm at a bit of a loss on how to eliminate the shipping and get the money to ST. Judes and still allow the group participation that make these bows so special.....Terry

Terry,

I'd love to put pics and stories of this and the other bow on the site. If all the participants will send the pics and some text, I'll put it up.

As for minimizing shipping, things like making sure the packaging for all shipments is less than 84" length + girth, reducing weight at all times and thoughtful project management come to mind.

I love it even though I know in advance it will be out of my reach. What a great idea.
