I won one Killie's arrows at the raffle, I think it was #12. I sent it home with Jordan(Lee's grandson) so that he could have it as a keepsake from an awesome day spent with his grandpa. Super nice kid and excellent grandpa.

Killy, now I have to admit unlike Mikey who did not mention the name of the "book", Jim did say what type of head he will use. He said a "Broad"...  :biglaugh:

Drew, you can have as many of my arrows as you like. But I think most would agree that a broadhead isn't just a broadhead, or there wouldn't be so many threads about them and Doc Ashby would have to take up knitting.

I need to upload more pics but the Bucket is moving real slow. I think it's bath time. My coworkers will love me for it.
Stone Knife, if you want a Magnus Journeyman, it's yours. That is what I usually put on my woods if they aren't carrying obsidian.

That would be great Kathy, Don't tell Howard but I was shooting my Bob Lee 54" hunter close quarters turkey weapon. I think they might make a nice combo.

Just a quick note regarding Sonny,  an old home remedy, and I checked it with the Vet once.  A little bit of flour will stop the bleeding as well.  This works with toenails that get cut too short as well.  Those little tails do get beat up.  Best to let him until it heals up even though he will miss the bunny huntin.

Us dog folks gotta take care of those companions that the Good Lord has entrusted to us.

Thanx Mrs S ,it's amazing some of the things dogs can get into.My neighbors beagle got stuck thru the tounge with a pc of barbed wire and we had to use 2 pair of pliers to untwist it and cut her free.

Northern zone is open till 3/16 not sure if I'll go up for the last weekend or not,I'll be in Fla the weekend before that and I,m not drivin that far this weekend with Sonny's tail like it is.You guys think it's thick @ Shawn's LOL I can show ya some stuff there ain't no way your gettin thru without crawling. On the plus side there isn't as many rose bush's

Just got back from the TX Sweat or I'd been a Bunny Hunter with Ya'll...oops that southern talk is still rollin' on my tongue   :D

As to Sonny's tail that is a problem with short haired hunting dogs like English pointer and such.  They just don't have enough padding on the tip of the tail in thick briars...as a matter of fact I remember I didn't either!

Anyway the tip starts to become callused over with a hard tissue lump.  Then it isn't supple or elastic to to all the abrasions.  If he would allow some sort of covering that would work, otherwise try to keep the area soft like a light coat of Vaseline...maybe get some boxing fighter's cut formula.  I've even had to bob/cut back some tail on pointers...guess that's why the Setters with their long hair & Brittanies with short tails are more popular in dense northern woods...Doc
