If this were in Maine I would wear a pink crustacean.

Chris, put a hat on! You'll get chilblains on your earlobes!

Honestly Killdeer, I think it was pretty warm out that day...

And that there headband is nothing but good luck, Chuck. Taken from the same old shirt I was wearing the day I shot my first turkey. Course, he was a domestic bird...  :readit:    :bigsmyl:    :goldtooth:

I hunted today for a little while after I pulled a stand at the dream property. I saw about 15 bunnies in about 40 minutes, we had a front move thru and they were out all over. I also saw 27 while pulling my stand. I have a # for people who need a room at the Comfort Inn, (518)465-8811, the rooms are pretty nice. More good news as I ma getting a bit more food donated! As for the Comfort Inn, get a room on the first floor next to Joe Skipp and myself.

For My Buddy... Kingstaken

Ickie- ickie to your hat.
Did you just say
You were once fat?
45 big pounds ago
Ya couldn't walk
In the deep snow.
So now you pick on
Little Me!
In my defense
I choose to pee
On your dumb hat
Or in your boots!
Why be so mean?
It's in your roots.

Ok, I went out again today for an hour over by  the Greenhouses, I just want to say ya may want to wear your light boots. I decided to only work the hedgerows since I was by myself. I got to the pasture and climbed the gate, it is different this year. I worked the one edge and some of the wildrose in the pasture. I got 9 shots and one bunny, a nice shot at 6 ft. I decided to turn in and work the one valley and swing around back into the pasture. I stayed away from Briarback Mt. I crossed the barb wire fence and started back along the edge of the pasture. I looked up and saw about 30 cows and 2 small bulls and one big one. The 3 bulls headed my way, at about 30 yards I figured I better show them who was boss. I puffed up and yelled get outta here and waved my arms the two young bulls turned and run, well the big guy lowers his head and charges me, Thank goodness I was in a spot where the wildrose was thin, I dove over the fence just in time as he crashed into it behind me. He was not happy, but when I got up and went over and swatted him in the nose he turned and run. I will make sure he is not out that day, if possible. I took pics. on my phone of the bunny and sent them to Damon, hope he can post them. In all I saw 13-14 bunnies and that is with little or no snow, Chuck ya better get it here before the 16th. OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn

Leroy, we have killed as many as 36 in an afternoon with the scatterguns and last year we killed 12 with the bows on the second day of the JLMBH and 3 others drowned in an old well! We have lots of bunnies because we have always killed lots of bunnies. My Dad says that way the smartest and fittest survive and it leaves food for the others when the winter gets bad. I can remeber as a kid killing 14 in an hour after school by myself. That new string is awesome, did ya get the momento?  I really hope we get some snow as it is tough to see them right now!!  That bull was pretty big but not all that mean, used to be one named Pedro in there when I was a kid, we would sneak down to fish the pond behind the farmers house, we ended up swimming more than once when he came down for a drink, he was flat out nasty!  :bigsmyl:  I am still having a great time in all my old haunts, I hope it never ends!! OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn
