Somewhere out in Trad Gang Land I think there is probably a child in the 6-9 year old range that needs a bow, that would love to shoot with his or her dad........I would like to remedy that. I have two osage selfbows that I made a few years ago, one for me, and one for my son Hunter. Both are snakeskin backed with antler tips and leather grips, mine is 64", 50@29", his is 48", and about 12@16". Hunter has since outgrown his bow, and it has sat on the bow rack for a couple of years now, as has mine. (The adult bow is right handed, and the youth bow is left handed, but I will modify it to be a lefty/righty bow before it goes out).
Here are the bows....
This is how I would like to see this work.....if you are interested and fit the criteria of having a child without a bow, and you will also shoot a selfbow, send me a short note on via PM why you should be the one to get the bows.
There is a level of trust involved here as there is one big caveat attached to this......when your son or daughter outgrows the youth bow, you must send both on to another parent/child combination to keep the bows shooting.
I will pick the deserving parent/child winner on January 6th.......
