New Hunting Blind
« on: September 25, 2010, 08:33:00 PM »
I just got them today, so I don't have any pics or info. on my site yet.

It's a hub style--very easy to set up and take down.

It's huge.  81" hub to hub.  Center wall to wall is 87".  Floor is 68" square.  Center height is 78".  More than enough room for me (I'm 6'2") and my 66" longbow.  I can shoot from a standing position (slightly squatted), sitting, or kneeling.  There's 11 windows, all with shoot-through mesh, and the window flaps are held up with magnets.  There are straps inside to tighten if needed to eliminate wind flap.  There's one door with a zipper to get in/out.  It comes with 12 stakes, tie-down ropes, and a  storage/backpack bag (with padded backpack straps).  There are loops on the outside to add natural foliage.

It comes in two styles:  leafy cam (leaves all over, not just the outline like some) or regular (slick).  Rain resistant, non-reflective material.  Several pockets on the inside.  Big enough to take a kid with you.  I've used the Ameristep Penthouse blind for years, and I believe this one has it beat for room and windows.  It's definately quicker and easier to set up and take down.

I have a few pics I can send, plan on getting some good ones for my site soon.

Price is $119 for the regular, or $139 for the leafy material, plus actual shipping.  Shipping only within the U.S.

If you have any questions, just e-mail me at [email protected].

The brand name is Natchez Trail Outfitters.  My best guess is this same blind goes by different names.  As best I can tell the quality is very good--I've set up/taken down the one I got yesterday several times already, and no problems at all.

The blind in the pack, with tie-down rope and stakes, weighs 24#.  Says it on the box, and I double-checked on my digital scale.

I'd post pics here, but I don't know how--sorry.  I'm about to start e-mailing them to folks that asked, and if they want they are welcome to post them.

Keep in mind I'm no photographer, and the pics I have were taken in a hurry (it was looking rainy).  It was during the day, but overcast.
