It has arrived: New pics added. Impressions added
« on: January 02, 2008, 09:25:00 PM »
My wife told me a package arrived for me UPS tonight when I was out running an errand for her. This was what was in it.

What it was wrapped in gave me flashbacks to the spring/early summer. Hopefully no nightmares        :biglaugh:

Won't be able to shoot it until Friday at the earliest but will let you all know what it feels like shooting then. I can tell you I really like the way it feels so far just in the hand.

It is one of the first four A&H ACS-CX 16" risers. It came to me wrapped in a surgical sponge(the blue thing under it). Let's just say I got to know them all to well last year.

Just wondering what the black portion of the riser is made of?  Awesome looking riser, by the way.

I am curious about the black as well.  Phenolic?  Another possibility that I just brainstormed would be aluminum.... that might be cool.  I don't care for aluminum risers (to me, ugly and cold, impersonal and all too often square-ish, but that's me).... but what about PART aluminum?  You could CNC some nice curves like that and mate it up with some good wood to give it warmth, round it off...... might be nice.  If nobody has done it before, I call dibs on the testing!

Got limbs?

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Yes I do Killie, thank you for asking. They are from my original 14" riser which I sold to get this one. The results will be a 66" bow that is 50@28
