Koa Blocks
« on: April 05, 2014, 12:40:00 AM »
On our recent vacation to HI I collected a fair amount of Hawaiian Koa wood for knife handle material. Actually too much for me to use myself so thought I'd list a few blocks and see if any of you guys would be interested. The dimensions are kind of hard to read on some so just ask. They are numbered 1,2,3,4 top to bottom. I dampened the blocks a bit so you could see what figure there is. a couple are pretty plain. The pics are of two opposite sides of each block. They are all milled very close to square to make them easier to work with. These are not stabilized but are kiln dried.

Paypal or a Postal M/o for payment please.

The first two pics have four blocks
#1 - 1 1/8 X 1 7/8 X 5 = $10
#2 - 1 1/16 X 1 3/4 X 5 = $30
#3 - 1 3/16 X 2 X 407/8 = $15
#4 - 1 7/16 X 1 15/16 X 4 3/4 = $20

This set of pics has three blocks 1&2 are 1 7/8" X 1 7/8" X 5". #3 is 1 7/8"square X 5 7/8" long.
#1 - $20
#2 - Gone
#3 - $old

Shipping will be actual, USPS Priority Mail.

Any questions feel free to email me

Next is a piece of Hawaiian Macadamia Nut, interesting stuff and very hard. You can see the shape from the three pics. Measures 4 1/2" X 2 3/4" X 1 1/4" tapering a bit on the edge. $35 + shipping
