i will be out after ole wiley coyote and briar rabbit tomorrow with Bowspirit and i hope Adirondackman. seems to be a overly large population this year of both yote and rabbit. i'll be calling the yotes in with a couple antler distress calls that i have had luck with in the past. this is the first time with both in hand and i'm hoping Bowspirit threads the needle right through a nice, big yote!
Has anyone one tried calling them in within bow range? besides a decoy ( which i do not have ) and tips you can give me with bow hunting in mind? i have gun hunted them a lot so i know what i'm doing calling wise but i'm thinking its going to be difficult getting them in bow range and getting a shot off. how should 1,2 or 3 people set up? i was thinking about putting Chris in front of me to the left or right, which ever way we think they might come in. if John hunts as well maybe the caller in the middle and the other 2 hunters slightly to the right and left in front and behind? any info you could give would be greatly appreciated!
