Flash memory video cameras
« on: March 04, 2010, 11:01:00 AM »
Is there a way to compress a video file from my DGX camera? It actually shoots good video but when I download it's a huge file(170+mb).
Thanks, Jim

that is really not too big, how long was the video?

There are several ways to compress them, but coming from a fellow that does it all the time, you will not get the exact same quality video.  My file sizes are fine, but the video editing software I use doesnt support MP4 files types which is what my video camera shoots in.  So I change the file to a DVI type file and it is the closest to the origional and a tiny bit smaller.  Just google video conversion softare and a bunch will come up, most are around 25 bucks, mine is IMTOOMPEG, and it is awesome, EVERY single file type you can think of and it was only 20 bucks, good stuff.  Hope this helps
