And this one!

What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, men would die from great loneliness of spirit, for whatever happens to the beasts also happens to man. All things are connected. Whatever befalls the earth befalls the children of the earth

Wow! Great shots!
Nice spread on that muley on page 4.
Hey, did that kestrel have a problem with its bill? Looks like a misalignment, like a crossbill.

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Wow..nice photos.
How do you carry your camera for protection?
How do you keep from it getting wet in the rain and snow?

Thanks
Benny

Benny I just keep the camera in my coat, Then if it is raining or snowing I try and keep my hat over the body of the camera. Still gets wet, just not soaked.

Oh yes!  It is crazy! I went to the first "Elk Fest", only town I have ever been to where you really have to be careful of running into an elk just window shopping on main street!

You are blessed to live in an area where you see more wildlife in one trip than others do in an entire lifetime.

You seem to enjoy nature photography very much (as do I).  May I suggest you go to a nature photography website and see what makes a great picture. The folks here are very nice and it feels good to hear "atta boy", but then you'll always be content with taking snapshots. The Emperor thought he was wearing some pretty cool new clothes too...

Learn to use light better when setting up. You (almost) cannot get a good shot without light, especially with a slow lens.

Anytime you enlarge a photo, you lose detail. You (almost) cannot have a great pic if it is not sharp.

There are so many fun things to learn and, lucky you, will get to see results in no time in your photo-op-rich enviornment.

Good luck and sorry if I offended at all.

Cary
