Cary, No offense taken. I realize that most of what the praise is for the animals I am photographing, more than the quality of the pictures. I do not think I am gonna get any magazine covers with the camera I am using. It just doesn't do alot. Thanks for the advise, though. If I ever come up with some "extra" money (LOL) I would love to invest in a real camera. Then I could learn about lens, filters, shutter speeds, ect. Here is a cool picture ( not a good one, but cool) From today...

So I have had more time to play with this camera. I said earier that it has a 35x optical zoom, same as a 840 mm lens. It also has additional digital zoom, and when you take the camera all the way out you can really reach out and touch stuff1 The only problem is that when you get into the digital zoom you lose picture quality. So I have been trying to get closer to my subjects and stay inside the limits of the camera and my picture are definantly better. NOt the quality of a high end camera but not bad.

The Elk in the post above were 125-175 yards away, these sheep were 10-25 yards away!

Another thing I have learned is EVERY computer screen is different. I have looked at these pictures on several computers and on some they look great and others not so much. Also an actual photograph comes out MUCH clearer than what I see on the computer.

Great pix bud, but this is not the place to showcase photo's...

Terry Green's forum guidlines...

This forum is devoted to discussing the art of photograghy as it applies to our sport. Post your questions here on how to make better pictures with todays cameras. Pictures are a big part of hunting, capturing scenery, hunting partners, hero pics, etc. etc. .....and pictures are certainly a big part of Trad Gang. Learn how to post pics on Trad Gang here as well.

Its not really a forum for 'posting pics' just for the heck of it, its a place to learn photography through Q & A .....and so you can make better pics to post on the proper forums.

I'm certainly hoping to learn more myself.
