I've noticed the Quinn bows that are available once and awhile. Are they the same bow as the TQ bows, or is the "Q" just a coincidence? Opinions on either or both would be appreciated. Thanks.

Some years ago, the Quinn bows went by the name TQ, they now go by the name Quinn. Same bow and only difference might be that the older ones may have had single lamination limbs, when most of them today are dual-lamination with the exception being the Stingray bowfishing model and the lower poundage Comets.
There is an archery shop in Milwaukee, WI called West Town Archery. They are a distibutor of Quinn bows, they still call them TQ bows, and mainly sell the Stingray fishing model. Their website is -

Pinelander, I'm only an hour away from Milwaukee, so if I need a roadtrip, I'll check them out. I've never seen anyone using one of these bows and I'm a little curious about the quality and shootability.
If you need a roadtrip this coming weekend (12-13), there's a trad only, indoor/outdoor shoot near Wausau, WI.(north-central part of the state)
Thanks for the help. Knobby

TQ= Terry Quinn. That's what he called his archery company before he changed it to Quinn. Great bows, BTW.

Knobby,
Last time I was in West Town Archery they only had the Stingray in stock. Fit and finish looked pretty good and the grip felt great. Didn't get a chance to shoot it but I have to admit I wouldn't mind trying one.
